Rhapsody Change Name To Rhapsody Of Fire

Italy's so-called "film score metal" band Rhapsody has changed it's name to Rhapsody of Fire. The band have posted the following message regarding the change at their official website:
"Due to copyright and trademark issues the band formerly known as Rhapsody has changed its name. The band members consider this a great new start, reflecting the emboldened and increasingly grandiose direction that their music has taken. “The power of the dragonflame will burn brighter than ever before,” says guitarist/songwriter Luca Turilli. Keyboardist/songwriter Alex Staropoli adds, “The name Rhapsody Of Fire better represents the energy that has always been present in this band and its music.”
With a new record company in Magic Circle Music, a new tour planned and a new album on the way, Rhapsody Of Fire will continue to explore musical fantasy worlds with the precision musicianship and unique symphonic concepts that their fans have come to expect and adore. Fresh on the heels of the band’s first live album release, Live In Canada 2005 - The Dark Secret, a new name and renewed vigor ensure that Rhapsody Of Fire still hold the passion and power that have always been associated with their music."

rhapsody should not have to change their name. period. they released a baragge(sp?) of awesome albums that f***ing pump you the F U C K UP!!!! so what if they are a little "cheesy". who gives a f u c k? their tight anyway!!!!!

it was actually the music downloading website "rhapsody" that made them change their name which i think is bull sh** because it's not like you'll get the 2 confused. i think that "rhapsody of fire" which i'm still going to call rhapsody has taken it like a champ and they have a good attitude about it and their being the more matuer person and that the executives who sued them can suck old wrinkley c***. i like rhapsody's music and i think their still the same great band that they always were and it's not their fault that they got screwed over by some piece of sh** corporation that claims to be all about music...but we know that they don't give a f*** about music and they don't respect anyone as long as the make as much money as possible at the end of the day.

Rhapsody's name and trademark/copyright issues? who cares? seriously, it is a bunch of major corperations that try to make money by being greedy and abusing the laws they helped create. I would wanna know the details on why the people who are potentially giving this great band issues has waited over 10 years to do so.
