Zakk Wylde Talks About Ozzy Osbourne's Upcoming Album

Ozzy Osbourne is readying his 15th solo album and Billboard.com talked to guitarist Zakk Wylde about it.
"There's a bunch of kick-ass stuff on there," said Wylde. "It is just ass-kicking, heavy stuff, and we've got the ballads, some piano stuff and some acoustic stuff."
Wylde's Black Label Society is headlining the tour's second stage, and the guitarist is also playing with Osbourne on the select dates the former Black Sabbath frontman is doing on the tour.
He says "It would've been great if we got [Osbourne's album] done before the Ozzfest, but it's like trying to cram three pounds of crap into a two-pound leaking bag, if you know what I mean. There's not enough hours in the day to get everything done."
"But right now it's coming out slamming. I think once the Ozzfest is done, Ozz can start writing at home in the studio and start knocking vocals out." The as-yet-untitled album is Osbourne's first featuring all original material since 2001's "Down to Earth."
Zakk Wylde will release Black Label Society's sixth album, "Shot to Hell," on Sept. 19. Wylde, who co-produced the set with Michael Beinhorn, cracks that the title refers to "what happens to our kidneys, livers and pancreas, being out on the road with Black Label."

i just saw Ozzy and Zakk 2 days ago at the ozzfest, and Ozzy was f uckin awesome! he seemed like he was 10 years younger, jumping around, running all over the stage and of cource Zakk was beyond great, one of the best guitarist around. so death_metalhead_13, i must say u are wrong sir, Ozzy isnt near burnt out, and he aint going anywhere for a long time.

Zakk is King!!! That's just my opinion though. I'm sure someone will disagree with me. But I'm feeling that this will be the last Ozzy Osbourne album. He may try to do something with Black Sabbath again. I'm all for that. I love Sabbath. With or without Ozzy. It would be a good way to retire. Start with Sabbath and come round full circle to end with Sabbath. Bleed Black Label!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Down to Earth was a solid record...lyrically it wasn't amazing...but I can throw it on even today and go through it without skipping any tracks. Ozzy said he was going to do some slower stuff and acoustic stuff on this record...and while I like to hear him go after it a little heavier than that...I have rarely disliked one of his ballads. He writes them well...so I will be picking up this one when it comes out.

I dont care if this is his last or not!I liked down to earth but he once said it will be like a no more tears 2 which is a brilliant album anyway. His voice now is very similar to his voice from 1983-1988 and 1991 even 1995.He never has been a great singer but a great screamer yes!I like all his albums from 1980-2001 and I am excited about this 2006 release just as much as I am with the new Megadeth album.Blizzard Of Ozz could be his best album but with him I cant choose,Diary Of a Madman was just as good as Blizzard,Bark at the Moon was awsome,The Ultimate sin had 2 awsome tracks(A.K.A The Ultimate sin and Shot in the dark),1988 was when he got zakk and made Wicked,No more tears in 1991 came then Ozzmosis in 1995 followed by Down to Earth in 2001.This album is going to rock!I have heard a demo of "Leaking Bag" which is a good song but since I doubt it will make it in the album since their is no singing just guitar, drums, bass and additional guitars.Zakk Wylde has awsome solo work and Black Label Society is ok but the lack of solos in black label society is not really cool but he rocks with Ozzy and has had 4 studio albums with Ozzy from 1988-2001 and this will be his 5th also this album is schedueled to be released in august 2006!He has had 15 albums totally and the current lineup is:
Ozzy Osbourne(1948-now):Vocals
Zakk Wylde(1966-now):Lead Guitars
Rob Nicholson(1968-now):Bass,Rhythm Guitars and Additional lead guitars
Mike Bordin(1970-now):Drums
John Sinclair(1959-now):Keyboards
I like all of them and they are all great and I expect great Heavy Metal from this album.I also hope there is gonna be another Black Sabbath album by 57 year old Ozzy.
