Ozzy Osbourne To Play Second Stage of Ozzfest 2006 In Devore, CA

Jonathan Cohen of Billboard.com reports: Ozzy Osbourne will make his debut appearance on the second stage of his Ozzfest festival when the event rolls into Devore, California on July 8. As previously reported, Osbourne is scaling back his Ozzfest performances this year and will appear on the main stage at just nine shows.

"I haven't had a chance to play this close to an audience in years and I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it," he says of the upcoming second stage appearance.

Osbourne is also hoping to get back into the studio this year with longtime collaborator Zakk Wylde, which would be their first collaboration on new material since 2001's "Down to Earth."

Here are Ozzy Osbourne's Ozzfest appearances:

June 29: Auburn, Wash. (White River Amphitheatre)
July 1: Mountain View, Calif. (Shoreline Amphitheatre)
July 8: Devore, Calif. (Hyundai Pavilion)
July 16: Tinley Park, Ill. (First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre)
July 22: East Troy, Wis. (Alpine Valley)
July 29: New York (Randall's Island)
Aug. 1: Mansfield, Mass. (Tweeter Center)
Aug. 4: Camden, N.J. (Tweeter Center)
Aug. 6: Bristow, Va. (Nissan Pavilion)

But seriously tho, f*** Ozzfest. I might love sh** like Unearth, Norma Jean, ALOL, Red Chord, and ATR, but jesus f***ing christ, im sick of this f***ing trend. A few years back, I joked with a few of my friends and said "haha, i cant wait till Norma Jean is playing Ozzfest".... and it came true. F U C K me man.
