I didn't mean they were out of place talent-wise. I meant more so by genre standards. While they are "cyber-metal" the rest fit more under "death metal." I think a good tour that fits more along with Fear Factory would be with Mnemic and hell maybe even Meshuggah. That is, despite the fact that Fear Factory is a tad more "mainstream" than either Mnemic or Meshuggah.

it is Europe and you'd be surprised at how many people in the states listen to CF....I dont much care for FF but they have a back-catalogue of some serious industrial death metal. Their new sh** wont fly at a show like this, but dont dis them like that. Oh yeah and Decapitated f u c k i n rules, id pay for them alone

Maleficus, I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth. It was just my opinion co-mingled w/ yours.
I don't know that FF would even fit in now w/ Mnemic or Meshuggah, unless they plan on avoiding "Transgression" and probably "Archetype" all together. It's gotten to the point where it's almost embarassing to say "yeah, I like FF".
And Mnemic is (reportedly) w/o a singer at this point in time. (theprp.com)

Mnemic is without a singer eh? That is probably for the best, he didn't seem to meld well with them. Sybreed would also be good addition to that line-up. I don't know why people don't like Archetype and Transgression, some of my favorite songs are on there. Digimortal is my favorite album followed by Obsolete. Oh, and I didn't mean to come across as you were putting words in my mouth, I just didn't want what I said to be misconstrued.

"Obsolete" IS the defining FF album. Yet, if we were to retrogress to "Demanufacture" or "Soul of a New Machine"... we'd also find some incredibly bad-ass music. I don't mind "Digimortal", my brother loves that stuff, so we spin it. "Archetype" was tolerable, it was the first iffy record, but "Transgression"... so much experimentation and sound shifting. I listened to it like 4 times and put it away. Filed under: Dissappointment.
Mnemic - I didn't mind their singer, he was like... hmmm, kinda like Santos (Spineshank, Silent Civilian) - heavy and p***ed here, laid back and p***ed there - singing the right parts. "Mech. Spin Phenom." was a kick a$$ album... "Ghost", is that not melding?
It's funny you should mention Sybreed, I was going to but really... who the hell has heard of them? Haha. They're a bunch of 20-somethings using the odd timings such as Meshuggah & Mnemic. Use the sing / yell of Mnemic. The chugging rhythm of Meshuggah.
Meshuggah, Mnemic & Sybreed. That'd be like the same band on stage for three sets. But it'd be f***ing awesome.

The only records of Fear Factory's that I didn't like were "Soul of a New Machine" and the catastrophe that is "Remanufacture." "Mechanical Spin Phenomena is an amazing album, don't get me wrong I love Mnemic. I think it's funny how one of my friends hates them just because of the lead singer's image. Ever since he saw the video for "Deathbox" he has despised them.
As for Spineshank, I've always wondered what caused their dissolution.
I would go to that concert for sure.
