this band is so over-rated.....no doubt their guitarts shred, but the songs all sound exactly the same and the vocals are just not my cup of tea.......the whole set-up is just too...flamboyantly arrogant..........but protest the hero is a pretty cool band to tour w/

Dragonforce is not overrated. They're just fairly new on the North American scene compared to some of the other bands. Their brand is not common among most American bands, so it's receiving a lot of attention.

I think DragonForce got pulled into the U.S. like Children of Bodom did. I think they will get promoted around the U.S. a lot unless everyone doesn't like it. I think european metal should get a chance to shine all over the world.

i agree that they may be a bit overrated. musically, i think they're pretty cool.
the more old school 30 something metalheads seem to really dig their sound.
one question, though...why do so many people have a problem with metal bands who have
vocalists who can actually sing and harmonize instead of just scream? melody can express p***ed of brutality just as much as screaming if done correctly. personally, i'm kind of bored with vocals having to be screaming for it to be "metal"...except for the greats obviously who pioneered that sound (tom araya, max cavalera, phil, etc.). it's starting to feel somewhat outdated, and seems like a lot of new bands that come out with an actual singer most metalheads don't like no matter how heavy or skilled the music is.
i don't know, just a thought.

the point is zp theart, and for the metal nubs who dont know, the lead singer of dragonforce, is just simply not a bad singer i can see why he might not be your favorite singer like he is to me but theres just nothing bad about his voice
