High-quality videos of DROWNING POOL performing a cover of PANTERA's "Cowboys from Hell" and their hit single "Bodies" on January 14 at the Camp Stanley Gym in Uijongbu, South Korea have been posted online. Check them out:
DROWNING POOL recently recruited former SOIL frontman Ryan McCombs to replace their last vocalist, Jason "Gong" Jones (now in A.M. CONSPIRACY), who left the band in June 2005. The group are expected to enter the studio this spring to begin recording their third album, tentatively due later in the year.

I didn't think either were bad. Nothing will ever be the original in either case, but I'm curious to see what Drowning Pool can produce with the new singer. I had pretty much written off their next effort if it would have had the same singer and direction as the last.

Drowiing pools first two albums blew my ass. The guitar work and vocals were repetative, expecially the first album, the vocalist had no f***ing musical talent whatso ever. I'm glad ryan is fronting the band, he is an awesome vocalist, maybe he'll make them not suck.

There isn't a chance in hell that I would ever want to hear that remake. Vocals, guitar (RIP Dime), drums and bass...try to match Drowning Pool talent to Pantera. Give me a break. Just because your band can't produce, don't rip off the gods. That pisses me off
