Axl Rose Breaks His Silence: People Will Hear New Guns N' Roses Music This Year

GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose spoke to a Rolling Stone reporter at KORN's tour announcement bash at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in the early hours of Saturday morning (Jan. 14). The following are several excerpts from the article, which can be read in its entirety at RollingStone.com:
On the long-awaited new GUNS N' ROSES album "Chinese Democracy":
"It's a very complex record. I'm trying to do something different. Some of the arrangements are kind of like QUEEN. Some people are going to say, 'It doesn't sound like Axl Rose, it doesn't sound like GUNS N' ROSES.' But you'll like at least a few songs on there."
"We're working on thirty-two songs, and twenty-six are nearly done," he says. Of those, thirteen are slated for the final album. Among Rose's favorites are "Better", "There Was a Time" and "The Blues".
On being more like an average guy than the most mythical rock star on the planet in 2006:
"The only time people ever write about me is when I go out to a strip club, because I don't chase the paparazzi down."
On the possibility of a reunion with his former GUNS N' ROSES bandmates:
"I haven't spoken to Slash in ten years. I love the guy, I always wanted everyone to know how great he was, but.... I was just talking to Izzy the other day though."
On the possibility of the current incarnation of GUNS N' ROSES going back out on the road soon:
"Every time there's a big festival announced, we get rumored to be on there. But we'll see what happens."

Axl can't seem to come to grips with the fact that his band broke up 10 years ago. Now he's just a parody of himself. The only shot he's got left at a career is if he tries out for the Surreal Life, or maybe he can be the next host of TRL. Hey, maybe he can get a part in Tommy Lee's new movie.

Just for the record his band did not break up 10 yrs ago.He broke them up 10 yrs ago & he refuses to accept the fact that it's his own fault.As a result of his own Egomania.Now 3 of the best parts of his band(Slash,Duff & Matt ) have formed a new & highly successful band without him and cleraly he's feeling kind of stupid.(I Love the guy)If CHINESE DEMOCRACY ever see's light of day I'll probably buy it.As far as if it will be worth it.Let's not hold our collective breath.

Well it was Axl's fault that they split up in the first place...He was being a d***...they left and became Velvet Revolver, end of story, I have hopes, but the only way they'll be successful again is if they went to their roots, and Axl quit being so goddamned power hungry, like he was the spine of it...f***, Slash was the best f***ing member, he was what kept them...Not him, Axl may have kept the name, But Slash kept the f***ing talent...Adn yes, the cornrows definitely killed it...

Haha. GN'R will never come out with another album. Axl Rose destroyed all credibility of the band still being one of the greatest bands ever when he got the corn rows. As much as I would love to hear a new GN'R album, I don't want it to happen because it's probably gonna suck. Plus, the CD has been "in progress" forever. It won't come out until Axl Rose is finally out of money.
