Disturbed Don't Pigeon-hole Themselves As Metal
The Baltimore Sun spoke with Disturbed drummer Mike Wengren about their latest effort 'Ten Thousand Fists', which now sees the Chicago band resisting the heavy-metal tag. "We don't pigeonhole ourselves in metal," Wengren said. "We think our music is more rhythmic. There's a lot that gets attached to metal - the look, the weird vocals that really don't fit our music."

I like their latest album(I know plenty of people who don't and just as many , what I like to call ''people who aren't actually posers'' who do like it). i think the ONE good thing about this band, and other n00b-metal outfits (ie slipknot, korn, linkin park, etc) is that they pave the way for the n00bs to get into real metal. any way we can decrease the world's teeny-bopper yuppie population is a benefit to us all.

And about David Draiman saying he gets a boner on stage, I think thats one of the funniest things I ever heard, and I applaud his honesty. BTW I'VE SEEN THEM 2 TIMES SINCE OCTOBER AND THE NEW sh** HITS f***ING HARD!!... ITS SURPRISING HOW HEAVY THE BASS AND DRUMS SOUND LIVE, THEY WERE BETTER THAN CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, WHO WERE AWSOME AS WELL.

well this band don't really suck. but I agree Hot Topic is gay. anyways disturbed is hard-rock with nu-metal sorta sound. The Sickness was a pretty good album, sounded like nu-metal/Metal but the album believe was crappy/sh**ty and Ten Thousand fists was Rock/Hard-rock .

the actual MUSIC was better on The Sickness than Believe, but the vocals were the other way around. and Ten Thousand Fists had the worst of each. So instead of one kickass album, one okay album and one utterly crap album, they've got two okay albums and an utterly crap album. good work, guys.
