Silent Civilian Finalize Tracklisting For Debut Album
SILENT CIVILIAN, the new band featuring former SPINESHANK vocalist Jonny Santos, have finalized the track listing for their debut album, "Rebirth of the Temple", due on March 21, 2006 via Mediaskare.
"Rebirth of the Temple" was recorded at Undercity Recordings with former MACHINE HEAD/SOULFLY guitarist Logan Mader producing and mixing. Four tracks from the album will be posted on the band's MySpace page on Friday, December 30 to coincide with their show that night at the world-famous Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood, CA. Also appearing at the show will be labelmates NEW DEAD RADIO.

In other news, SILENT CIVILIAN have aligned themselves with former YELLOWCARD/MEDICATION manager Baron Bodnar. The band will be filming a video for the title track from "Rebirth of the Temple" with director Scott Culver (YELLOWCARD, HIT THE LIGHTS, MIKOTO) the weekend of January 15 in the Los Angeles area. The concept for the video is an ode to the glory days of old-school thrash metal. More information, such as where the video shoot will be held, will be released shortly.

K, so Santos dropped Spineshank (or they dropped him) because of "different ideas about musical direction", and I'd heard that Santos wanted to spend time w/ family. Now where does he find himself? Back in the business. I don't know what to think of this.
In other notes:
The intro is also the name of a SoulFly track.
The 3rd track is a play on a SoulFly track name ("The Song Remains Insane")
The 10th track bears the name of the last track on Spineshanks 3rd (and final) album.
I'm also wondering what Scott Culver knows about thrash. Hell, I kinda wonder what Santos knows...
Now, I'm not necessarily counting these guys out, but I am wondering if they'll make it past this release. I won't be surprised if there's not a second disc.
