Abysmal Dawn Finish Album, Seek Label
Abysmal Dawn, an extreme metal band from Los Angeles featuring former Rise and Inhuman Visions members, has just put the finishing touches on their debut release entitled "From Ashes." The group is currently looking for a record company to release the album. The following update was recently given on their site:
"Our gig with Exodus at the Galaxy went great! Thanks to all the crazy fans in the pit area who were fucking things up and even the ones banging their heads towards the back. You made it a killer experience as always! Also, a very special thanks is in order for Jacob from Gatekeeper and Elizabeth Schall for all their extra help at this show. Things wouldn't have run as smoothly as they did without you.
We have just finished recording and mixing our debut release entitled "From Ashes." The album was engineered, mixed and mastered by John Haddad (Eyes of Fire, Phobia, Intronaut) at Shiva Industries in Santa Ana, CA. We have to say it came out heavy as hell and we're positive it will rip your face right fucking off! If you don't believe us check out four new songs from the album, as well as the cover art, at the following location myspace.com/abysmaldawn. Here's the final track listing:
1. Impending Doom (Instrumental)
2. In the Hands of Death
3. Blacken the Sky
4. Servants to Their Knees
5. Wicked Impulse
6. Solitude's Demise
7. State of Mind
8. Salting the Earth
9. Crown Desire
Layout is currently being worked on by Anthony Clarkson (Kataklysm, Exodus) and should be completed shortly. We are currently searching for a label to license the record to. All interested parties please contact the band directly at abysmaldawn@gmail.com
A short interview and some live footage from the "Open Grave Music Festival" at the Whisky has been posted at gomusicnetwork.com. Not the best quality and heavily edited, none the less maybe some of you will find it interesting. Check it out!
Tickets for our Suffocation/ Decrepit Birth show on 2/19 at the Key Club can now be purchased from the band using Paypal. See all you grind hungry bastards there!"
