The Gates Of Slumber Sign With I Hate Records

I Hate Records have announced the signing of The Gates Of Slumber.

For the ignorant: The Gates Of Slumber started in 1998 as a backlash against the stoner rock trend prevalent at the time and with their mixture of Saint Vitus, Pentagram, and prime era Celtic Frost has either crushed or converted unbelievers ever since. The second full-length album is due for an early June 2006. With the album's title "Suffer No Guilt" they promise to spew forth a defining statement of true doom metal! Songs that will be included on this release will be "Suffer No Guilt", "Dweller In The Deep", "God Wills It", " Riders Of Doom" plus several other true statements of doom."

Plans are in the works for two possible tours of the European main land in conjunction with this release. Further announcements will come as things are more finalized.

In gearing up for this release, The Gates Of Slumber will be releasing a CDEP "Like A Plague Upon The Land" through Hellride Records on November 22, 2005. This features four new songs, "Iron Hammer", "The Leach", "Feast of the Dead" and "Stitched Back From Deth". The artwork was done by none other Jeff Gaither and will also come with a woven sewn-on patch. This slab of true doom will be limited to 999 copies and will be available at the Hellride superstore.
