Former NIGHTWISH frontwoman Tarja Turunen will take part in a press day in Berlin, Germany on Monday, November 14 to discuss her split from the group and her future plans.
As previously reported, Tarja's final performance with NIGHTWISH — which took place on October 21 at the Hartwall arena in Helsinki, Finland — was filmed professionally for an upcoming DVD, "End of an Era", tentatively due in late 2006.
NIGHTWISH fired Turunen via an "open letter," which was given to the singer immediately following the Helsinki show. The group are currently seeking a replacement vocalist before entering the studio in September 2006 to begin recording the follow-up to 2004's "Once", tentatively due in mid-2007.

Whatever written in the open letter the band gave to Tarja looked full of fraud and silly excuses meant to get rid of her in favor of a new voice (for whatever reason there could be) or simply because Tuomas is a fscktard.
If she were really a money whore she wouldn't swing to classical and try to introduce scandinavian music to audiences who had never heard of those music.
Tarja is a great singer, classically trained, powerful in the metal way, and she gives so much passion to her singing. I think she'd become a great figure in the classical-crossover scene as her distinctive looks and charismatic presence and prowess in singing are badly needed in that scene.
I seriously think that Tarja being an operatic soprano should work with a composer that's formally trained in classical music to get the ghost of her voice out and deny any categorization.
