Armed For Apocalypse Premiere New Single & Music Video "FISTS LIKE FEATHERS" From Upcoming New Album "THE EARTH IS BREATHING BENEATH ME"

PNW sludge metal outfit Armed For Apocalypse have announced a new album titled THE EARTH IS BREATHING BENEATH ME, set for release on April 24 via Church Road Records. The record was tracked at GodCity Studio with Converge’s Kurt Ballou overseeing the sessions.

The band have also launched the lead single “FISTS LIKE FEATHERS,” which arrives alongside a music video directed by Jon R Moore, both of which now available for streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you below.

Speaking on the album itself, the band stated:

“This album is bleak. It’s got dissonance and aggression and every song carries a sense of melancholy and density beneath the surface. But there are also moments of meditation, and even signs of optimism woven in that make it feel like a true reflection of who we are as people.”

A press release also provided further insight into the meaning behind the album’s title:

”The Earth Is Breathing Beneath Me‘ isn’t a metaphor. It’s a realisation that the ground beneath our feet is alive, and we’re all just passengers on its pulse. It’s that hum of dread and wonder that defines Armed For Apocalypse’s fourth full-length album: a towering, grooved-out, post-metal monolith carved from grief, power, and purpose.’
