As promised, Richmond, VA groove metal titans Lamb Of God have announced the details for their twelfth studio album, “Into Oblivion“. The group have a March 13th release date set for that outing through Epic Records. They also have just launched a music video for its title track that was co-directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts.

This new 10-song outing found the band once again joining forces with Josh Wilbur (All That Remains, Gojira), with the latter both producing and mixing.

Guitarist Mark Morton said of his take on this latest addition to the outfit’s venerable catalog:

“For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation. It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”

Vocalist Randy Blythe admitted that the album’s title reflects a bleak current outlook, explaining that it was chosen,“Because that’s where we’re heading. In general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would’ve horrified people just 20 years ago.”

“Into Oblivion” track-list:
