Australian progressive alternative metal band Karnivool have followed up this month’s release of their new single “Opal” with an official music video. “Opal” marks the third single unveiled so far from the band’s forthcoming album In Verses, their first full-length in over a decade, which is set to arrive on February 6th via Cymatic Records/The Orchard.

The clip was directed by Adam Rule, with the band offering the following statement on the visual:

“We wanted to have the painted animated world in this clip to feel akin to the album cover art in some way, keeping the same tones and palette. When Adam and the Rythm guys suggested this approach, it clicked with us as the sleeping giant idea was something that stuck from the very first writing sessions through to the final version here – it’s got a bit of power as well as beauty to it.”
