Stabbing Premiere New Single & Music Video "Inhuman Torture Chamber" From Upcoming New Album "Eon Of Obscenity"

Stabbing have announced details of their upcoming sophomore album, “Eon Of Obscenity,” which is set for release on January 30th. The record marks the Texan brutal death metal band’s first full-length since signing with Century Media in May 2024.

Leading the charge is the album’s first single, “Inhuman Torture Chamber,” a track inspired by the horrifying real-life case involving the systematic torture and murder of Sylvia Likens.

In a statement regarding the song, Stabbing commented:

“‘Inhuman Torture Chamber‘ was written in regards to the horrific murder of Sylvia Likens. Since gore and torture are common themes in death metal, I try to write songs about real events I’ve read about. They are usually stories that left a negative affect on me.”

Recording for “Eon Of Obscenity” took place at Southwind Audio in Houston, TX, with Ben Gott handling engineering duties and Chris Kritikos overseeing mixing and mastering.

Frontwoman Bridget Lynch discussed the new album and the band’s creative evolution showcased on it, stating:

“It feels more refined. The album shows the potential of what the band started as. It’s not overly produced. There’s not a lot of effects or over-editing. We wanted to keep the raw sound that the classic bands had. We wanted to go for that, for something very honest and very us.

It’s representative of this being a new era for the band. An improvement of the Stabbing sound and us as musicians. On the last album [2022’s ‘Extirpated Mortal Process‘], I wasn’t really happy with what I did vocally and I really wanted to really improve. One of my favorite songs on the album is called ‘Reborn to Kill Once More’, which sums up how good and how strong we feel about the band and the album now.”
