Pincer+ Premiere New Single & Music Video "Blue Light Overdose"
Australian metalcore act Pincer+ have announced a December 12th release date for their debut full-length, “Who Are You When No One’s Around.” The album will arrive via Greyscale Records and 1126 Records, and features the newly unveiled single “Blue Light Overdose.” A music video for the track was filmed with Josh Ang behind the camera, both of which now available for streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you below.
Speaking on the track, the band offered the following insight:
“[‘Blue Light Overdose‘ was] written from a place of hate and utter disdain for those who continue to take, while providing no real benefit to anyone. It’s definitely one of the more aggressive and to-the-point songs on the album, and the closest in sound to our older material.”
Reflecting on the forthcoming album, the band added:
“It’s about losing control, pulling yourself apart, and trying to figure out who you are. We found the title felt like a way to tie it all together – it’s a question for us as much as anyone else, about facing the parts of yourself that only show up when no one’s watching.”
Last month, Pincer+ ushered in a new chapter with the release of their single “Hard 2 Kill.” The track marked a fresh era for the band, introducing frontman Jaiden Higgon and bassist Israyan Shah to the lineup.
