Paradise Lost have premiered the official music video for their track “Serpent On The Cross,” with visuals crafted by Lars Kristoffer Hormander. The song is set to appear on the British gothic metal band’s upcoming seventeenth studio album, Ascension, which is scheduled for release on September 18th via Nuclear Blast.

Frontman Nick Holmes shared the following insight into the song’s lyrical themes:

“The cross represents stability, prosperity, hope and happiness. The serpent represents trepidation, anguish and overbearing sadness, lurking in the shadows ready to take everything away.”
