Emberthrone have officially dropped their latest single, “Dulling The Blade,” today, streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below. The band features a stacked lineup with vocalist Monte Barnard (formerly a touring member with Fallujah), guitarist Martin Bianchini (known for his session work with Dance Gavin Dance), and bassist Quentin Garcia (Man On the Moon). Drummer Andrew Baird (All Shall Perish, ex-Fallujah) is the newest addition to the group, stepping in for Gabe Seeber (Obscura, Decrepit Birth, Vale Of Pnath, etc.).
The band’s upcoming EP, “Cursive,” will be out July 04th via Seek And Strike.
Speaking on this latest track, Monte Barnard offered the following commentary:
“This is my favorite song Martin and I have ever written together. Martin and I go back almost 20 years, and Quentin has been with Emberthrone since day one, their writing has shaped the core of our sound. Bringing in Andrew on drums took things to another level. ‘Dulling the Blade’ explores how we cope with the weight of daily life, sometimes in healthy ways, and sometimes through self-destruction. It’s about the things we think are helping us, but may actually be making things worse.”
