Ghost Premiere New Single & Music Video "Satanized" From Upcoming New Album "Skeletá"

Multi-platinum occult metal band Ghost delivered on their promise of a phantasmagoric spectacle tonight with the debut of their new single, Satanized. Alongside the anticipated audio-visual experience, the band also unveiled their updated stage attire and introduced the latest incarnation of their frontman: Papa V Perpetua.

As per tradition, mastermind Tobias Forge has once again taken on a new persona, assuming the mantle of Papa V Perpetua for this latest chapter in the band's ever-evolving theatrical legacy.

This latest clip was complemented by the the 19th chapter of the group’s ongoing web series, which fleshes out the saga of their clergy. With the new music, comes word that the band’s sixth studio album has been christened “Skeletá” and will be arriving on April 25th through Loma Vista.

The band’s mastermind Tobias Forge once again assumed his pseudonym of Gene Walker to produce this new outing, which features mixing by Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Linkin Park) and Dan Malsch (Avenged Sevenfold, Gojira).

A press blurb describes the album as folows:

‘Ghost‘’s sixth psalm, ‘Skeletá‘, is its most unflinchingly introspective work to date. Where previous albums dealt largely with chronicling and/or observing outward facing subject matter—such as Impera’s meditations on the rise and fall of empires and its predecessor Prequelle’s evocations of the ravages of era-defining plagues—Skeletá’s lyrics render the distinct individual emotional vistas of each of its 10 songs in one-on-one fashion, at times as if in a dialogue with oneself in a mirror. The end result is a singular collection of timeless, universal sentiments, all filtered through a prism of a uniquely personal point of view.’

‘Skeletá” track-list:

01 – “Peacefield”
02 – “Lachryma”
03 – “Satanized”
04 – “Guiding Lights”
