Obscura Premiere New Single & Music Video "In Solitude" From New Album "A Sonication"

Following weeks of controversy surrounding allegations of stolen song ideas, Obscura have officially released their new album, "A Sonication." Serving as the second chapter in their ongoing conceptual trilogy—first introduced with "A Valediction"—this latest opus from the German progressive technical death metal outfit is now available worldwide.
Coinciding with the album’s arrival, the band has unveiled a music video for the track "In Solitude," with visuals once again directed by Mirko Witzki (Caliban, Arch Enemy).
Speaking on "A Sonication" reaching fans, Obscura mastermind Steffen Kummerer shared:
“With A Sonication our seventh full length album sees the light of day, and we can’t be more proud of the record and how it turned out. The overall introverted, almost melancholic vibe and pace matches perfectly with the theme of the second album of our ongoing trilogy that started a few years back, releasing A Valediction in 2021. The fragile and human touch, featuring edges and dynamics back to back, turned into a unique album to be heard best with a good system or classy headphones. Obscura will embark on a relentless touring schedule covering the next years. Listen to the record, and see you at a venue near you.”
The band’s upcoming tour plans include a European/UK run alongside Skeletal Remains and Gorod, followed by the newly announced North American ‘Shred Fest’ tour. The latter will see Obscura sharing the stage with Atheist, Origin, Decrepit Birth, and Fractal Universe for an intense display of technical and progressive death metal mastery.
