To Obey A Tyrant Premiere New Single & Music Video "Obsidian Sol" - Sign With Seek And Strike
Blackened deathcore outfit To Obey A Tyrant has inked a deal with Seek And Strike and is set to release their upcoming EP, Frigore Inferni, on February 21st. Ahead of the release, the band has unveiled a video for the lead single, “Obsidian Sol”, streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below.
The UK-based group shared the following statement:
“We chose ‘Obsidian Sol’ for our main single because we thought it was the perfect balance of brutality and catchiness. It has some insanely heavy sections, yet the chorus makes you want to sing along, haha. What stands out about us the most is how we mix slams in with symphonic death-core, so we’re not your typical death-core band. You don’t really see a lot of bands doing our specific style and we pride ourselves on our brand.
The new EP, Frigore Inferni, is Latin and means freezing hell. The entire EP is a story of two entities creating hell on earth, casting the world into a freezing abyss. Each song describes the atrocities happening within this new hell, the characters and how it originated. Every song is accompanied by eerie, blackened orchestrations, so if that’s the sort of deathcore you like, then we got you! If you were a previous fan of TOAT then this will be your favorite release from us. If you’re a new fan or just checking us out, you couldn’t have come at a better time! Expect crazy blast beats & kicks, guttural vocals, slams, breakdowns, sinister melodies, orchestrations, the lot!
In the past few years, we have shared the stage with some of the most iconic names extreme music has to offer, including; Decapitated, Chelsea Grin, Aborted, Vulvodynia, Signs Of The Swarm, Within Destruction, Aversions Crown, Fit For An Autopsy and many more. We are a seasoned touring band that has played multiple of the UK’s biggest metal festivals like Bloodstock open air and UK Tech-Fest. We’re just getting started and we can’t wait to get across the world and see you all soon.”
