Ruins Of Perception Premiere New Single & Music Video "Immortalize" From Upcoming New EP "Ballads ov Blood"
Symphonic deathcore ensemble Ruins Of Perception has recently secured a label deal with Seek And Strike. Their new EP, titled "Ballads ov Blood," is set to be released on May 31st. A new music video for "Immortalize," one of its tracks, has just premiered online.
The band shared their thoughts on the announcement:
“Everything has started with our buddies in The Hate Project. We’ve played a couple shows together and became good friends. There were lots of drinks, some of the best times we’ve had as a band and the idea of touring together one day. We got to know that they were signed to Seek&Strike. During this time our new EP was already finished and we have been searching for a new label. It was kinda obvious that we would at least introduce ourselves to those guys.
The response blew our minds and it’s an unreal feeling that a big record label truly believes in your music and understands the love and passion behind it. That’s a very important aspect for us. Of course we want a label that pushes us more forward in our career as well, but it’s great to know that somebody really stands behind you.
Our new EP goes bigger than ever with its unique soundscape and sheer ferocity. No two songs are the same, yet they all form a kind of cycle. That was very important to us. You’ll dive directly into new spheres and get embraced by the gloom of our stories we tell in our songs. It’s like a dark fairytale centered all around vampires.
With aggressive-chunky rhythms and diabolic gutturals paired with spherical choirs, orchestral and catchy melodies, we’re creating our very own kind of music. Elements from death-core, slam, symphonic and black metal are merging together – the result is an absolutely special and heavy sound – something very outstanding in this genre. We are the symbiosis of beautiful and bone crushing tunes.
What’s also particularly noteworthy is the orchestral accompaniment, especially the liturgical background choirs in Latin. In general, this EP is far more symphonic than the last album, some of the songs are significantly longer and more complex.
We were able to improve immensely on this new offering, both vocally and instrumentally. Max‘s songwriting and his handling of musical parameters are on a whole new level. Hagen’s vocals have improved incredibly and can easily keep up with other genre greats. His new diversity and bigger vocal range meets perfected technique – it’s just fun to listen to him. Last but not least, Dan Tucker (Crown Magnetar) and David Simonich (Signs of the Swarm) lend their vocal talents to us and the results are absolutely awesome.
We’re truly more relentless than ever and we will guide you into the realms of chaos, enshrouding our listeners within a monumental storm of dark symphonies and melancholy, spiced with breakdowns and slams.”
