Glam metal icons Mötley Crüe premiere their first new single since 2019. The track, titled "Dogs Of War," marks the band's debut release featuring the guitar talents of John 5. The former Marilyn Manson lead guitarist joined the band in 2022, replacing Mick Mars, though Mars' departure remains the subject of a bitter legal dispute.
A new music video for the single will go live today at 10 am EST as well:
The band signed with Big Machine Records for this new track and future material. Recording sessions were helmed by producer Bob Rock (known for his work with Metallica and 311), who has a long history with Crüe.
In a recent interview with Billboard, vocalist Vince Neil described the single “like old school meets new school. It’s got that old-school vibe about it, but it’s new music. Nikki came up with it and he sent me the music and I thought it was really cool. So I started singing it and we got in the studio and it turned into the song I think the fans are really gonna like it.”
Neil added that they recorded several other tracks, including a cover of the Beastie Boys classic "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)," which they have previously performed live.
