Fleshgod Apocalypse Premiere New Single & Music Video "Pendulum"

The newest single from Fleshgod Apocalypse draws inspiration from a harrowing rock climbing accident involving their vocalist Francesco Paoli in 2021. The incident resulted in Paoli sustaining broken bones and various injuries, leading to surgery, a month-long hospitalization, and an extensive period of rehabilitation.

Titled "Pendulum," the track is now available for streaming via YouTube and Spotify below, accompanied by a video directed by Martina L. McClean (known for work with Ghost and Oceana).

Paoli shared his thoughts on the song:

“This is the first song we release since my ‘dance’ with death, back in August 2021. It’s obvious that such a life changing event would have affected our music. It took a toll on me, physically and mentally, and sharing my experience is also part of my healing process. Pendulum is just the opening chapter of a bigger story, which is yet to be told…"

"The music video, realized by visionary Italian director Martina L. McLean, turned my unfortunate incident into a monumental visual experience, an awe inspiring blend of obscure symbolism, surreal architectures and nightmarish mythological creatures. It perfectly portraits the struggle and the desperation of that day, a day of defeat… but also the day of my rebirth.”

True masters of their craft. Pair this video with Monnalisa and you've got a perfect combo. They have definitely zeroed in on the magic formula and I can already tell this will sound as a continuation of Veleno, which isn't a bad thing, but far from their initial draw that The Violation gave us.
