Amorphis Guitarist Tomi Koivusaari Launches Solo Project Bjørkø - Jeff Walker (Carcass) Guests On Vocals

Amorphis guitarist Tomi Koivusaari has launched his solo project, Bjørkø (meaning "Birch Island"), and it's delivering some heavy and brutal sounds. The debut single, "The Heartroot Rots," is now available for streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you below. Bjørkø's debut album Heartrot will see the light of day on December 1.


Bjørkø is featuring the following lineup:

Jeff Walker (Carcass) on vocals
Tomi Koivusaari (Amorphis, Abhorrence) on guitar and background vocals
Janne Lounatvuori on keyboards
Lauri Porra (Stratovarius) on bass
Waltteri Väyrynen (Opeth, Abhorrence, ex-Paradise Lost, ex-Bodom After Midnight) on drums
Annea Lounatvuori on cello
