Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth) has released a new video for his track “Self Pollution” off his latest outing, “Wall Of Sound“. Jimmy Cheng directed the clip streaming below.

Says Friedman of the video:

“This video is the first to feature my live band, with Kiyoshi on bass, Chargee on drums and Jordan Ziff on guitar. These guys (and girl) outshine me every night on tour. The video is loosely based on some of the fun ways you can pollute yourself (hence the title) and takes you from serenity to a chaotic climax, just like real life does sometimes.”

Impressive, indeed. Though as much as I want to like the whole song, Marty does what he usually does and throws in a bunch of weird and off-the-wall or wanky bits that disrupt the overall flow of the song. It just ends up sounding like a riff collection.
