American Head Charge To Play Download Festival

American Head Charge have been confirmed to play this year’s Download Festival on the Snickers Stage on Saturday June 11. It will be the band’s first Uk performance since the tragic death of guitarist Bryan Ottoson on April 19.


Ottoson was found dead in his tour bus bunk on 19 April from a suspected prescription drug overdose, but an autopsy has yet to be carried out. The band are currently completing the remaining dates on their US tour with Mudvayne and have recruited Black Flood Diesel’s Benji Helberg to fill in on temporary guitar duties. Helberg previously played in the AHC side-project F.O.R., but it’s not yet known whether he’ll be appearing with the band at Download.
