Upstate New York's GIZMACHI are rumored to have landed one of the "mystery band" slots on the second stage of this year's Ozzfest. An official confirmation is said to be coming sometime this week.
GIZMACHI will release their debut CD, "The Imbuing", on May 3 on Big Orange Clown Records, an imprint of Sanctuary Records. "The Imbuing" was produced by SLIPKNOT's M. Shawn Crahan (who also founded Big Orange Clown Records), engineered by Josh Wilbur and recorded at Spin Studios in New York City. GIZMACHI is comprised of Sean Kane on vocals, Jay Hannon and Mike Laurino on guitars, Kris Gilmore on bass and Jimmie Hatcher on drums.
The band filmed the video for their first single, "The Answer", in February in New York. The video was directed by Crahan and produced by Doug Spangenberg (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, LAMB OF GOD, EVERY TIME I DIE).
