Details Of New Album "E.V.O." Revealed By Almah

Since its inception, Almah - led by former Angra singer Edu Falaschi - has been receiving attention worldwide as one of the most significant bands from Brazil. Falaschi has sold more than 1 million albums in his 25 year career.

Today, the band announced the fifth studio release entitled "E.V.O." The album will be issued worldwide next month. "E.V.O. was recorded in São Paulo, Brazil at IMF studios by Tito Falaschi and was mixed and mastered by Damien Rainaud (Fear Factory, Dragonforce, Baby Metal, etc) at Mix Unlimited in Los Angeles, California/USA.

This will be a conceptual album, which is based in the evolution of mankind's mind and soul during the new age which the world is about to live....the Age of Aquarius. Falaschi visited different subjects which connect to the main concept, creating both positive lyrics and total album atmosphere.

Musically, "E.V.O" brings forth a fresh and powerful album, with all the modern and heavy aspects of every Almah release, along with something more. The compositions are a pleasant journey between the modern power metal, contemporary rock and progressive metal.

Long time fans will quickly realize that "E.V.O." has a direct connection with the "Rebirth" album from Angra (the first Angra album featuring Falaschi in 2001). In "E.V.O." the vocal lines are very powerful, classical with a higher pitch compared with Almah's previous albums. It's very melodic, clean and more in the bel canto style like the old times.

The artwork (shown below) brings all the elements that represent the main concept, especially the woman in the center who represents the Aquarious constellation. The band's logo is gold for the first time and the bright and shiny cover fits perfectly with the positive vibration of the album.

The album's track listing is:

1. Age of Aquarius
2. Speranza
3. The Brotherhood
4. Innocence
5. Higher
6. Infatuated
7. Pleased to Meet You
8. Final Warning
9. Indigo
10. Corporate War
11. Capital Punishment
