"The lyrics for ‘Admiring Death’ are straight forward as you read them. It is a taunt towards the ones struggling to be unique and intellectual, without knowing they are just as ridiculous and pathetic as the next one. Too many people search so hard for ways to be different, and to have special opinions about the smallest matters, that they lose all dignity on the way. These people also tend to stick together, with all their fascinating stories and opinions. This mean that they are never confronted, challenged or hung out for questioning. The effects is that they just follow one an others opinions within the group, fascinating each other, and sharing how intellectual, special and unique they are. I have to say, very typical for already sub cultural environments, like the metal scene, punk scene + +. So the lyrics are in many ways a big FUCK YOU to the ones thinking they are running the scene, by sitting in the same clubs, he same rooms, the same classes – agreeing they are so different. Choosing who is worth their time. However, in truth, they are the ones flocking around in the dark – with no way to go. That is why I admire their death…"
