The Esoteric Lose Everything In Fire
Lawrence, KS band The Esoteric have lost all of their equipment, merchandise, cash and recording gear to an early morning fire at their studio and practice space. Here's a statement from the group:
"This morning around 3 AM, The Esoteric's home, studio and practice space went up in flames and burned to the ground, leaving three members of the band homeless without food or clothes and destroying all of the band's equipment, merchandise, cash box and recording gear. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire. So far the cause of the blaze is unknown although Lawrence Fire Department Investigators suspect faulty electrical wiring. As of now, The Esoteric plan on continuing with all tour plans for March, April and May."

That really sucks. I know alot of people who have lost their equipment. A bassist I know got sick and had to pawn his equip. to pay for his meds, and a band I know had to cancel their gig because the guy throwing the party they were playing at had his equip. stolen. It's a shame, they might have been something, but I don't see how they'll go anywhere without a place to start.
