Urban Yeti Records Inks Deal With Fallen Captive
Fallen Captive, a Cleveland, Ohio-based metal act, has signed with independent record label Urban Yeti Records. Formed in 2010, the group has a strong following in the region from countless tours and several strong album releases. The lineup includes Stevie James (vocals), Jim Bergmann and Rob Warmuth (Guitars), Jay Verbic (Drums), Brian French (keys) and Morgan Patterson (bass).
The group cites Periphery, Killswitch Engage and After the Burial as some of the influences for their sound and approach to writing songs. Guitarist Jim Bergmann says, "Not a lot of bands (if any) really have the overall sound we have. Our different influences creates a more unique personality for our music." The band has toured frequently over the years and are known for their high-energy live shows. When asked about their live performances, guitarist Rob Warmuth added, "We like to have fun on stage and we show it, smiles and all...it's who we are."
When asked about Fallen Captive, Urban Yeti co-founder Mike Gevorgian said, "This is a band I've enjoyed as a fan for many years and I look forward to the metal community discovering and enjoying the talent of these guys the same way I have." He continued, 'These guys love music and they love metal. They are not trying to be something they aren't. I feel like their personality shines through their art and the songs they write feel organic."
Fallen Captive is currently working on their latest album, which is slated for a mid-summer release. The group has released the first song from that album entitled The Flooded Divide and the video can be seen at this location.
