Crime Records Inks Deal With Killing Gandhi

Danish melodic death metal act Killing Gandhi, featuring ex-Wuthering Heights members Martin Arendal (guitars) and Kasper Gram (bass), has signed with Martin Steene's (Iron Fire) label Crime Records. The band's new release "Cinematic Parallels" is expected later in the summer, with all the details set to be announced in the coming weeks. Steene commented on behalf of Crime Records: "We are extremely excited here at the CR company to announce our new signing. Danish Melo Death Metallers Killing Ganghi has joined our growing band roster. We are proud to be working with yet another great and skilled act, and are looking forward to release their upcoming album 'Cinematic Parallels' later this summer. Cover artwork and release date coming within the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned."

Killing Gandhi was founded by Arendal and Kasper Gram in 2011 after testing their musical skills with Manticora, Wuthering Heights, Evil Masquerade and Ureas for 10+ years. "Cinematic Parallels" began to take shape in the spring of 2013, after joining forces with Thorbjørn Jensen (ex. Sickseed) and Rasmus Schmidt (Illdisposed, ex. Corpus Mortale).

The album is the band's own interpretation of the scandi metal sound, with inspiration from bands like In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, Soilwork among others on the heavy metal scene, and Medina, Robyn and Daft Punk on the more commercial scene. This gives Killing Gandhi’s sound a good mixture of short, effective and catchy songs.

"Cinematic Parallels" was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Pretty Maids, TÝR, Evergrey).
