Texas-based living-legend artist Frank Campagna was commissioned on December 13 to paint a mural of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott of PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN and Dave Williams of DROWNING POOL on the wall of the place where they used to each practice, Universal Rehearsal on upper Greenville in Dallas on Markville.

Frank is said to be an amazing artist, and his work is reportedly VERY prominent in the Deep Ellum/downtown area of Dallas. His style is unmatched and quite distinguished.

Dimebag Darrell was the whole reason i got into metal.I was driving down a country road at night in my stepdads friends car and he was listening to pantera.The second Mouth For War started balring on the speakers i discovered that the reason my life didnt seem complete is because i never listened to metal.since then "Dimebag" Darrell Abott was my idol.just recently i took upplaying the guitar so i could follow in his footsteps.People at school joke about it and laugh at me.they all say"ha hes dead and he aint coming back".well i know he isnt coming back but that doesnt mean i have toabandon him. i idolize him in death more than in life.I will make sure his memory and legacy lives on...at least in my mind it will. R.I.P Dimebag Darrell Abott "THE FIRST COMBOY IN HELL"
