Details On New Album "Into The Valley Of Hinnom" Released By Risen Prophecy

U.K. power thrash act Risen Prophecy announced that the sophomore release "Into the Valley of Hinnom" will be issued via Metal on Metal Records on April 24th. The cover art (shown below) was painted by Metal on Metal owner, Jowita Kaminska-Peruzzi (Exodus, Manilla Road, Attacker, Witchburner, Forsaken, Deceased, Meliah Rage, Nomad Son, Arkham Witch, Metal Law...).

"Into the Valley of Hinnom" is a conceptual release centered around the Biblical, rabbinical and ancient Roman and Greek tales about the (Hinnom) Gehenna valley, where people were worshiping Moloch, sacrificing their children "passing" them through the fire into the statue of Moloch.

The label commented: "These young British lads have impressive technical chops and brilliant sense of song crafting, which has resulted in a really mature album with highly developed, epic compositions. And to top it off, they have a charismatic singer with really powerful pipes and quite a theatrical delivery of both clean and more brutal, snarl-like vocals, as well as ear-splitting screams. Old school thrash mixed with power metal (of the US kind), reminiscent of bands like Iced Earth, Unearthed, Testament, Sabbat, Sindrome, Defiance, Artillery, Hellhound, Maelstrom (NY), Judas Priest or Forbidden, is what's on offer here."

A two minute promo clip for the album can be viewed/heard below. The clip features a snippet of the epic title track, and scenes from the "Cabiria" movie from 1914.

The track list is:

1. The Descension
2. Brood of Vipers
3. Knowing Nothing
4. To the Wolves
5. Into the Valley of Hinnom
6. The Ascension
