Pure Steel Records Signs Starblind, New Album Recordings Begin In April
Swedish metal act Starblind, featuring ex-Steel Attack drummer Mike Stark on vocals, has signed a worldwide deal with Pure Steel Records. The band will enter Studio 2-Takt owned by producer Cedrick Forsberg (Rocka Rollas) for the recording of the upcoming sophomore album.
Starblind was formed in early spring 2013 and six months later began the recordings of the debut album "Darkest Horrors." It was released in July 2014 on Stormspell Records and it received very good reviews, resulting in a three week European Tour in support of Tim "Ripper" Owens. After the tour, the band began focusing on writing songs for the second album and a pre-production demo was recorded with producer Cedrick Forsberg in February 2015, leading to the record deal with Pure Steel Records
The band commented on the signing: "After a few months of negotiating with different labels Starblind are proud to announce the signing with Pure Steel Records GMBH for a worldwide release of our upcoming album. Pure Steel's profile fits us as a band perfectly and we feel confident that this will help us take the next step as a band.”
