Hatchet To Record New Album, Targets Summer 2015 Release

San Francisco natives and thrash metallers HATCHET will enter the studio March 22 to record their third full-length studio album, dropping Summer 2015 via The End Records/ADA. Since their Summer 2014 show run with Flotsam & Jetsam, the HATCHET camp has been preparing the follow-up to 2013’s acclaimed "Dawn Of The End" album (via The End Records/ADA) with an arsenal of new tracks by lead vocalist/guitarist Julz Ramos.

"Musically the material has been shaping up to be a big step into an even more unique sound. It will be littered with guitar harmonies, diverse tempos and above all will still hold together a thrash attack that will make the Bay Area proud…. Until then thrash on HATCHET legions!!!" —Ramos

After self-releasing two demos, HATCHET’s debut album, "Awaiting Evil," was released in mid-2008 via Metal Blade Records. The album was well-received by thrash enthusiasts around the globe and proved a great beginning for the band. Since the release of the debut, HATCHET has completed three full DIY US tours as well as their 2013 sophomore effort through The End Records, which saw them touring with Soilwork, Jeff Loomis, Threat Signal, Black Tide, Cellador, Exmortus and Flotsam & Jetsam.
