Pretty sweet. Although I've got to say, with all the rhythm guitar acrobatics already littered throughout the song the solo seemed really out of place and jammed in "just because".

Yeah, I agree. The solo is a great transition to the latter section of the song. Serious playing all round. The solo on Veil Pt 2 is probably my favorite metal guitar moment this year. EPIC!!!!!!!!
