Cold's Scooter Ward Defends Guitarist Departure
Cold frontman Scooter Ward has responded to fan criticism regarding the departure of guitarist Eddie Rendini. Writing to the group's official message board, Ward said, "Eddie wasn't the right musician for this band, no matter how fu**in cool he was. For [anyone] to say this isn't gonna be a Cold record is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I thank those of you who still have faith in us and when the record is released you will know who Cold is, was and will always be."

Yeah their tough though. Good song, yeah,i guess for the most part, accept for that Rivers Cuomo nonsense "stupid girl" the song sounded good but my gawd, those lyrics....sigh....Just hope what I've heard about the next record sounding like 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage is true. That was some good s#it!

I wonder why Cold became such a revolving door for members? Is Scooter Ward hard to work with or is there some(well duh) band tension? or are they just really protective of their sound? Just hoping they dont break up before they can meet or beat their second album from 2000(?) i think. go cold!

I guess we'll see what a differnece it makes when it comes out. I happen to agree with absent, stupid girl was kind of stupid, and 13 ways was Colds best record. With a different lineup than the last couple records it may be an odd listen but whose to say. Scoot Ward is a major player in the band but he is NOT COLD, you will be able to tell the differnece when they have differnt guitarist thats just common knowledge, just hoping it doesnt suck.

He is the only person signed to the record label. The rest of the guys are just his support staff. When Scooter got signed to Flip records he was the only person and still is the only person listed on the recording contract. He pays the rest of the band members as his 'employees' so Scooter Ward basically IS COLD. He can fire anyone in the band he wants but nobody in the band can fire him

Thats about 200th black cat to cross this bands path. More power to them for slugging it out, hope it equates to a worthwhile album. Major labelwise, lyrically and vocally Cold are one of the stronger bands out there and I wish them the best.
