New Lyric Video "Thanatron" Available From Armageddon
Armageddon, featuring ex-Arch Enemy guitarist Chris Amott, has released a second lyric video, this time for the new track "Thanatron" (check out the title track here). The song will appear on the upcoming new album "Captivity & Devourment." The album is expected out this year and has been described as "10 awe-inspiring and ingeniously crafted songs, full of devastating riffs, soaring guitar leads and fist pumping choruses. Heavy, melodic, technical, and groovy: this is creative metal songwriting with one foot in deep in the classics and and one eye gazing towards the distant future." "Captivity & Devourment" was mixed by Fredrik Larnemo at Studio Recordia and mastered at Stockholm Mastering.
Amott commented on the new track: "Thanatron is a heavy mid-tempo track with some dissonant harmonic ideas, and has some very interesting riffs. An ominous acoustic intro sets the the tone for some face-pummeling rhythms. Desecration of humanity. THE END.
Bassist Sara Claudius commented: "I called this song Thanatron, which literally means Death Machine, a term coined by Jack Kevorkian and used as a name for his invention. However, in this story, I’m telling you about a scientist who is watching the death of a star from many lightyears away and his… personal feelings about it, let’s just say. Across the album, I wrote the lyrics revolving around one character in a loose plot. We are looking forward to publishing this album and getting the songs, artwork, and lyrics together in one super metal package for you."
More information on the new album is expected soon. Check out "Thanatron" here:
