"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Taking Back Sunday Singer: I'm No Emo Sex Symbol

Taking Back Sunday singer Adam Lazzara laughs at the idea of being an emo sex symbol. "Just even tagging the word 'sex' on and having it relate to me is just funny in general, because I'm just an awkward mess when it comes to anything like that," he tells Josh Bell of Las Vegas Weekly. As for living up to the rock star label, Lazzara said, "I don't think there's such a thing as rock stars anymore. We're definitely not rock stars, and if we are rock stars, we're real pathetic at it."

Yeah, I posted it more for the humor value. Chill out. Emo(core) used to be heavier, but these days it's goten really weak and whiney and gets a bad rap, as you can see from the comments about TBS.

Of course he is not a sex symbol, he is not a symbol at all. there music sucks balls, and for some reason everybody thinks thee music is fantastic. If they want to listen to emo or real music along that line, listen to Underoath, they do it right, not Taking back Sunday.

Well some of Mr. Jones vocals lean a little to the emo side. But I don't know why a lot of ppl
don't like this band they sound more like a Scandinavian metal band than Korn Flames now.

I don't like them because they're cheesy and boring, and play second-rate old In Flames riffs. Even though I'm not a huge fan of In Flames new direction, I would rather listen to that than Killswitch Engage.

Get ready to bash me on this comment korntards! I actually don't mind the dead.
I hate those bands that try to impersonate them IE: phish, leftover salmon, umphrees
mcgee, widespread panic and so on. Cause the fact those jam-bands are basically the
only bands that play in Broad Ripple it seems like. But anymore if I want to mellow
out I usually listen to Black Sabbath, Kiss(old), and Deep Purple and some
goth/darkwave music too.
