Dixie Deathwish Issues Update

Dixie Deathwish has issued the following update regarding their recent decision to disband:

"We have decided to keep the name Dixie Deathwish. We have made this decision for a couple of reasons. The first being that we really like the name. The second is that despite the fact that we might not have had the best relationships with some venues or bands in the past we are determined to change all of that. Third let's face it some bands and other people in the area would have loved to see us drop the name and kind of admit defeat, but that is just not our style. We are determined to come back with a ferocity on stage on rivaled by few in this area and we look forward to sharing the stage with those bands and i think they know who they are. Because it is good to play shows with bands that push you as a performer and gives you a reason to step your game up. And that is what we are doing boys and girls so get ready for us cause here we come and we are coming full force. We look forward to sharing the stage with any and all bands and seeing alot of fans we have'nt seen in a while."

Dixie Deathwish Disbands

North Carolina metal band Dixie Deathwish has announced that they have disbanded. The band issues the following message regarding the future of the members:

"Well friends it looks like DDW is gonna be put to bed. We are gonna retire the that band name and come back with a new name and a new lineup. We are sad to say that we have parted ways with our brother Josh Barnes. He has been with us since the beginning and we are gonna miss him. There is no bad blood or anything like that it was just time to part ways. We are proud to announce that Billy Roof will be taking over the duties behind the drums. Let me tell ya folks this guy is a beast behind the kit. So get ready for this shit. We are also looking for a new bass player and a second guitarist. So if you are interested you can still hit us up on this myspace. A new day has began with us and things look pretty good. The music is gonna be heavier with more technicality and ferocity. We will keep you all posted on things and when we decide on a new band name and get the new site going you all will be the first to know."

Dixie Deathwish Seeks New Bassist

North Carolina death metal band Dixie Deathwish has parted ways with their bassist. the band has issued the following update regarding the loss and search for a new bassist:

"What's up everybody? Well since the last time we have done one of these we have lost our bass player. We won't go into details on this let's just say we wish him the best in his new ventures. Now with that being said we are on the hunt for a new bassist and a second guitar player. We need people who are open minded and full of creativity. Would be nice if you have show experience. Need to have your own professional gear and transportation to and from practice and shows. We practice at the playroom in Charlotte NC. So we have rent to pay. So with that being said we all have to split the band rent as well. We are using seven string guitars . Would like for you to be technical and solid in your playing but also willing to have a lot of fun with it. Why else do we do this right. Hit us up if you are interested and let's get this going cause we ain't planning on slowing down for long."
