Venom Announce New Lineup
British black metal pioneers VENOM have revealed the details of their new lineup and upcoming recording/touring activities. Joining bassist/vocalist Conrad "Cronos" Lant and drummer Antton is the latest addition to the group's ranks, American guitarist Mykus.
Commented Cronos: "I have chosen the most talented and deadliest of all the musicians who've ever been in this band to work with."
The new tracks are said to be "very much in the vein of the early VENOM — ferocious, raw and deeply Satanic, with a 21st century production and 25 years of experience. Look out disbelievers, this is VENOM at their most dangerous and hostile!"
VENOM, who are in the process of negotiating a new recording deal, are currently recording some tracks to be webcast directly from the "Updates/Music" section of their official web site as a test, before uploading some new video footage of the band using the latest streaming multi-bit-rate technology. Several live shows are planned later in the year as well.
VENOM's last studio album, "Resurrection", was released in 2000.
