Gutworm Issue Update

Gutworm have issued the following update via the AntiCulture Records website:

We're happy to announce that our long awaited second album, Disfigured Narcissus will be recorded at Priory Recording Studios during March / April and will be released this September. I know what you're thinking... "about bloody time!" We're not lazy, we just didn't want to rush it! This will be new bassist Glen Pywell's debut recording with us after several months hard work, both in the practice room and on the road. Greg Chandler (Esoteric) will be producing once again so expect a killer result!! Oh yeah, dont forget about us at this year's Hellfest along with our label-mates Slit & Interlock. Bands confirmed so far include Korn, Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Cannibal Corpse, Megadeth, Napalm Death plus MANY more!! Check out the official Hellfest website at www.hellfest.fr or the Myspace page. We'll be playing 2 other shows while in France, but we'll talk about those another time. Thats it for now but keep your eyes peeled, there's loadsa GW news coming up in the next couple of months.

Interlock Confirm Slot on Hellfest 2007


The London based cyber-metal sextet posted the following update via their record label's [Anti Culture Records] website:

Cheap duty-free orders at the ready, we're off to the continent for some sun and salacious behaviour... and perhaps a touch of heavy-as-hell industrial metal for the benefit of our European cousins.

We're salivating over our passports with delight in confirming that we will be appearing on saturday 23rd june at hellfest 2007 in clisson, france. the lineup includes Immortal, Cannibal Corpse, Blind Guardian, Gutworm, Slit and many more. Gutworm Confirmed for Hellfest 2007

The UK metal outfit Gutworm have been confirmed for Hellfest in France this summer, June 22, 23 & 24. Other acts confirmed so far are IMMORTAL, NAPLAM DEATH, HATEBREED, CANNIBAL CORPSE among many others.

Gutworm Bassist Departs

Gutworm have parted with bassist Carl Davis. However, this is said to be amicable, with Davis helping to find his own replacement: former Freebase man Liam Durrant.

Bloodstock Changes Set Times

Bloodstock has shuffled their set times, so take note if you are planning to attend. This means bands will start earlier in the day on both days. Nearly all stage 2 bands will be playing during changeovers of stage 1 so you should all get to see all the bands on the bill if you want to. The festival takes place 2 weeks from today in The UK.

Gamma Ray To Headline Bloodstock 04

After their triumphant appearance at Bloodstock in 2002, GAMMA RAY return to headline the Friday night of 3rd September 2004. Creating an opening night of pure Metal Mayhem, Gamma Ray will be joined by the mighty SINERGY (including members of Children of Bodom) and from the UK, the oustanding, ILLUMINATUS who demand to be witnessed on a big stage! Anyone who has seen them on tour recently will realise why they are back this year.

The Friday night lineup will be:

GAMMA RAY - 3rd UK visit
THRESHOLD
SINERGY - Only their second visit to the UK
ILLUMINATUS - Highlight of Bloodstock 2003, Powerplay 9/10
INFOBIA

Other UK bands recently confirmed are Power Metal heroes INTENSE opening up the main stage on Saturday, with Doomsters THE PROPHECY , GUTWORM , Progressive HUMANITY and RITUAL OF HATE , nicely filling the Darwin Suite on Saturday.

Another 7 or 8 bands are expected to be added to the Bloodstock bill in the coming weeks/months.
