Commented Olson: "I'm very excited to play for our friends in the mid west for the Days Of The Doom Fest. It's going to be great to perform on stage again. I've missed that! In addition, because I live in southern Maine, I have not yet had the chance to see my longtime TROUBLE friends, Eric Wagner and Ron Holzner perform with their new bands, BLACKFINGER and EARTHEN GRAVE. I'm looking forward to see them again as well as the latest up and coming bands in the doom scene. Stay tuned for RETRO GRAVE's debut show to be held in New York City soon with my friends from GNAW."
The Days Of The Doomed Fest billing is shaping up as follows:

RETRO GRAVE (feat. Jeff "Oly" Olson of TROUBLE fame)

Admiral Browning has completed their latest album, entitled "Magic Elixir." The band issued the following updates:
"Hey folks - we have the Magic Elixir CDs!! Thus the show this weekend becomes our CD RELEASE PARTY! We will be selling them at a discount this Saturday at Krug's Place [Frederick, MD] so if you want 'em cheap, get 'em then! The individual MP3 tracks will be available here through our SNOCAP store and through other online retailers shortly.
"I'd like to take this time to remind folks that we have two 'special edition' releases of our previous discs. I've added a bunch of live tracks and assorted studio/demo stuff to both our previous discs, all encoded at high-quality 256kbps MP3 from the original sources. And they are cheap - four bucks a piece, through our SNOCAP store right on our MySpace page. If you don't have the albums or can't make it to the shows, you can catch up with the Admiral in a huge way for just a few ducats and get rare/unreleased stuff that even the folks who bought the CDs don't have.
"Thanks, and see you at the show!"

Maryland instrumental metal band Admiral Browning has posted an update and rough mix of a new song online. Here's the update:
"Hey muthas... We're still working hard to finish this thing out. To quench your thirst we've posted a rough master of one of the new jams we've recorded, Ol' Martini Man. The final product may differ slightly. Hope you dig it!"
Admiral Browning has issued an update on progress on their new material and more:
"Hey guys, just a quick FYI. Noone ever remembers to update the blog!
"We are nearing completion of the Magic Elixir EP. We have nearly 40 minutes of new jams, twists and turns that we can't wait to drop in your earhole. This is without a doubt the strongest Admiral disc yet. We just recorded the basic guitar for the final track with Steve Kerchner at his studio in Fairfax, and we have to get some overdubs together, but this one is gonna be hard to keep totally to ourselves ;-) So stay tuned to our myspace and you may catch a new tune very shortly!"
West Virginia metal/hardcore band Ten Year Scar has announced that they are breaking up. Here's the announcement from the band:
"We will be parting ways as a band. we know, it sucks!! Travis has a family member in ill health, and he wants to take some time away from music to focus on his family and other things.
"This was an amicable decision, it goes without saying we support Travis fully, he is a friend and brother to all of us. You will see some of us out on the scene, playing music and feeding the fire as usual. Whatever happens to the individual members of TYS, we are 100% supportive of each other in our creative endeavors.
"Our last show will be July 26 at Cookies here in good ol' Martinsburg, with Admiral Browning, TWF and Live to Die. Please come out and support us, and three ass-kicking, mind-blowing bands.
"Our other dates at Cookies, August 23 and September 27, have been given to our friends to take over. Please go out to these shows and support our buddies and brothers. August 23 will feature Vox Populi, Admiral Browning and Stifling. September 27, TWF and a few other bands will be kicking your ass.
"Please continue to support the local music scene!
"Thank you for all of your support, and love. We have made so many incredible friends in the past 4 years, and had some amazingly fun times together."
