Dim The Lights Calling It Quits

Pennsylvania death metal band Dim The Lights is breaking up. Guitarist George Fava has issued the following statement:

"Some people have been asking us lately, 'what's going on with DTL? are you guys breaking up or what?' well, the answer is yes.

"Our reasoning behind this is that, we're all just a little too busy personally to keep it going and on top of that, interests have changed. Damien is super busy with work, Tim and James are no different, and I'll never be done with school. That combination kind of makes it hard to do anything serious so we want to go out with a bang.

"This band, for me, has been one of the most fun things I have ever been apart of. Since I joined we got to play a million or so shows, meet tons of cool people, and on top of all that make awesome friends in the process.

"Damien is going to writeup a full blog later about all of this seeing as he's the only original member and has been with this band since I don't know, like 2002 or something like that.

"Anyways, the final show is Saturday June 7th at the Silo in Reading, Pennsylvania. It's going to be a great time and all of our friends bands are playing so that makes it even more amazing. To top that off, we're going to be playing our most recent set as well as 3 older Dim the Lights songs from the Merciless/Angels Can't era. So yeah, all you people who have been with it from the beginning are going to hear some sweet ass oldie jams.

"This show is quite a ways away so there are no excuses (for you friends) NOT to make this date (even you out-of-states). Thanks for all the wonderful times."
