Powertrip Post "Emptiness" Video Online

"Emptiness", the new video from the Swedish female-fronted alternative rock/metal band POWERTRIP, can be viewed here.

Commented POWERTRIP bassist Peter Uvén: "I am really satisfied with the final result; the video is kick-ass! The song is all about feeling anger and frustration from being mentally abused and in the process you start feeling numb and empty inside. I think we really managed to deliver that vibe in the video."

POWERTRIP last year released its debut album, "Cold Black Lie", via Greece's Sleaszy Rider Records. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered in 2006, and it contains "an onslaught of 10 uncompromising hard-hitting songs," according to a press release. "With dark and passionate lyrics it's a voyage to the dark corners of the mind, intense, raw and deeply touching. Every note, tone and word delivers a real-life experience, sometimes disturbing but always with pride and honesty." More...

Powertrip Announce New Drummer

Swedish female-fronted alternative rock/metal band POWERTRIP (photo) has announced the addition of drummer Erik Palmqvist to the group's ranks. Erik, who has already played a few gigs with the band filling in for former drummer Hampus Ek, is now a full-time member of POWERTRIP.

Commented bassist Peter Uvén: "Erik did such a good job filling in for Hampus and especially on such a short notice. We only had time to rehearse one time before the gigs but it sounded like he had played the songs for ages! And to be honest, some of the songs have never sounded better live!! He's a really good addition to the POWERTRIP family and there are some exciting times ahead!" More...
