Gwen Stacy Announces New Vocalist

Gwen Stacy has found a replacement for departed singer Bob Oakley. Now joining the band is Once Nothing guitar player Geoff Jenkins. The band had the following to say:

"Our friend Geoff Jenkins will be taking over vocal duties for Gwen Stacy. He is coming to us from our very very good friends in Once Nothing. He had been playing guitar for them for about the last thow years. Before that he was the front man of a band and has been looking for an opportunity to do vocals again.

"We are very excited about this transition....we hope you guys will be as happy with it as we are. We understand we've been through alot of changes this year and how it can be disheartening, but please believe it has all been for the best. As your friends we ask you please do not be discouraged, because we will be stronger than ever in the new year. We also have a little surprised planned for early next year that will give you all a chance to hear what Geoff can do."

Once Nothing Cancels Tour

Once Nothing has dropped off their current tour with Rose Funeral and The World We Knew.

Bassist Steve Lucarelli comments: "I'll do a full update later, but it needs to be announced that we are no longer on the tour with Rose Funeral and The World We Knew. Simply put, it was the best decision for us to go home. I'll say more in a few days...sorry if you were coming to see us, it wasn't an easy decision. P.S. - we are NOT breaking up, don't go spreading rumors!"

Once Nothing Signs To Solid State Records

Solid State Records has signed Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania metal band Once Nothing. The band's Solid State debut, recorded by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me), will be available in early-January. Here's a statement from the band:

"We are extremely blessed and proud to announce that we have officially become a part of the Solidstate/Tooth and Nail family! This band started seven years ago and we have put all of our heart and soul into it and this is a shining moment for us.

"Today is a bittersweet day for us. We finally get to announce our new home, but we are losing one of the founding members. Dave is moving on with his life and his final two shows are this weekend, so if you are around the Kentucky/Tennessee area and could come out and see him off, that would be amazing.

"You guys and gals have shown us unbelievable support over the years and in no way do we think we deserve to be given this opportunity that we have. So we would hope and pray that would continue to support us, and that the future would hold bigger and better things for this band. Cause there is no reason we have made it this far except for the love and blessings that the Lord has provided for us. Thank all of you for being a part of this. We love you."

You can check out the band online here.
