Dallas, Texas band Memphis May Fire (Trustkill Records) is actively looking for a new singer to replace vocalist Chase Ryan, who has decided to leave the band. According to the group, "Chase is about to have a child, and has revaluated his priorities. There are no hard feelings and we wish him the best of luck."

Here's the official word on auditioning for the open spot:

"We will be holding open auditions through MySpace. We have posted an instrumental version of one of our new songs 'Decade.' If you think you have what it takes, then go ahead and download the track and lay down some vocals. When you have completed the track, you can send the finals version of the song to memphismayfire@gmail.com. We are excited to hear what you all have to offer. We have recorded our new record all ready with Casey Bates (Chiodos, Portugal The Man). All we need is to record the vocals and the new record will be ready."

Memphis May Fire Recording New Album

Memphis May Fire recently entered the studio to track their debut full-length for Trustkill Records. The album is being recorded by Casey Bates (Chiodos, Pierce The Veil). Singer Chase Ryan comments:

"So far we're having a blast. We're out in the burbs of Seattle hanging out making some sweet ass new songs that we think will kinda catch everyone off guard. They are very reminiscent of the EP but have a new twist that is entirely their own. They are much more complex and interesting songs, but still have that raw, almost southern sound to them; and in a way are more progressive and heavy. Recording with Casey is awesome. He's super chill and above all, wants us to be happy with the record. We are super excited to get these songs out asap, I'm sure you will dig em'!"

Memphis May Fire Signs To Trustkill Records

Trustkill Records has officially signed Dallas, Texas rock/hardcore band Memphis May Fire. Trustkill President Josh Grabelle comments:

"There is a lot of really exciting, young, dangerous music coming out of Texas right now, and Memphis May Fire are the cream of the crop. Not since Bullet For My Valentine's 'Hand of Blood' EP have we heard a more compelling set of songs for an EP, where absolutely every song is bone-chillingly perfect, and timeless. These guys are on their way to something huge."

The group will release a self-titled, five-song CDep on December 4th. You can check out a track from the forthcoming effort here.
